Teaching Triads

Is a peer-observation program to help faculty members grow and develop as teachers by arranging participating faculty with varying levels of experience and discipline into groups of 3. The process is to be constructive and formative, and allows faculty to learn and benefit through observation and establish life-long development as educators. Register here to participate in the Spring 2015 Teaching Triads.  For additional questions, please contact Matthew Schlesinger in the Department of Psychology at matthews@siu.edu

Pre-Observation
Triad members exchange syllabi and communicate what is to be expected of the observation.
Observation
A focused and purposeful inquiry into observable individual and group behaviors in a specific class to “see” teaching and learning from a different perspective.
Post-Observation
Follow-up meeting of triad members to discuss impressions and converse about the teaching and learning relationship.
