Graduate Assistant Training Requirements

Main Content

Each year, new graduate assistants are asked to attend trainings which are dependent upon the type of assistantship. Individual graduate assistant appointments fall under one of three types of assistantships:

The purpose of the training is to help graduate assistant employees meet the demands of their assistantship and to remain compliant with State and University guidelines. See training requirements and a link to training details below next to each appointment title as applicable to your specific appointment. If you have a split appointment (ex: 25% RA and 25% TA), the graduate employee will need to complete the training under both appointments.
