Turnitin is a service of iParadigms, LLC, designed to help our students with proper citation in their research writing. It includes a Plagiarism Prevention Service (PPS) to which instructors are able to submit research papers and have them checked against 4.5 billion Internet pages, ProQuest online database, and millions of papers in the PPS database. The PPS returns an annotated Originality Report detailing phrases, paragraphs, or pages in the paper that are identical to items in the databases.
