Don’t Cancel That Class!
Instead of canceling a class when you know you will not be available, contact Wellness and Health Promotion Services and we will use the class time to present one of our Healthy Salukis To Go workshops or give a general presentation about Student Health Services. Workshop categories include sexual health, stress, sleep, time management, alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, physical activity, and violence prevention and awareness. To request a presentation, visit http://shc.siu.edu/wellness-center/workshop/ . For last minute requests, call Wellness at 618-536-4441, but availability of presenters cannot be guaranteed.
Student Use of Alcohol and Other Drugs
If you are concerned about a student’s potential alcohol or other drug use, or want to learn how you can integrate alcohol abuse prevention into your work in the classroom, visit the Wellness and Health Promotion Services website for information and ideas! http://shc.siu.edu/wellness-center/aod/aod-resources/
